Vincent Abbott is pursuing a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at MIT, in the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS). His research develops diagrammatic category theory for machine learning, so that deep learning systems can be expressed as mathematical structures and implemented efficiently on hardware — contributing to SCHEMA’s compositional tools.
